Pathways to Rest

Sleep, Hope, and the Learning Brain

November 30, 2026

Virtual

4:30 PM - 6:00 PM (Pacific Time)

Rest is a skill. Let’s Practice.

Every night, the brain does some of its most important learning work. It strengthens new connections, rebalances the neurotransmitters behind mood and focus, and flushes away the byproducts of a busy day. Healthy sleep habits are something educators and students can actively build. In this interactive webinar, participants explore sleep through the lens of hope theory. Rest is treated as a pathway we can choose, design, and strengthen.

This session explores the everyday habits that help us fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up ready to learn, along with the common disruptors that quietly work against us. Participants will dig into the essentials of sleep hygiene and the growing research on how sleep fuels attention, memory, and emotional balance. Educators leave with a deeper understanding of why rest matters for learning, and with fresh ideas for strengthening their own sleep habits and helping learners develop the skills for healthier sleep.
