Three Sessions.

One Essential Idea : Neuroplasticity.

Each webinar is a standalone experience and a preview of one of our Summer Institutes. Come to one. Come to all three. Either way, you'll leave with something meaningful.

Session 1 | Wednesday, May 27 | 4:30 - 6:00pm (PT)

How the Brain Builds Structures for Learning

What does it really mean for the brain to “learn”? In this session, we explore how neural pathways are built and strengthened through experience and practice. Grounded in the science of neuroplasticity, we’ll look at how everyday classroom moves, like co-regulation and purposeful practice, help grow durable brain structures that support learning. A practical, engaging introduction to the learning brain.

Session 3 | Wednesday, June 10 | 4:30 - 6:00pm (PT)

How We Design Learning in an AI World

AI is changing education, but how does it impact the brain? In this session, we explore how AI can either support or short-circuit learning, depending on how it’s used. Grounded in neuroplasticity, we’ll connect AI usage to practices like retrieval practice and metacognition that strengthen neural pathways, ensuring technology enhances deep, lasting learning.

Session 2 | Wednesday, June 3 | 4:30 - 6:00pm (PT)

How Experience Shapes the Learning Brain

Learning doesn’t happen in isolation; it’s shaped by our experiences, relationships, and sense of belonging. This session explores how identity, emotion, and belonging shape the brain’s capacity to learn. Through the lens of neuroplasticity, we’ll consider how experiences of safety, curiosity, and inclusion strengthen neural connections, while also reflecting on how educators can intentionally create environments where every learner’s brain has the opportunity to grow.

Why attend the full series?

Each webinar stands on its own but together, they map the full terrain of what it means to teach with the brain in mind. Three sessions. Three lenses. One through-line.

  • Session 1 gives you the science foundations

How the brain builds the structures that make learning last

  • Session 2 gives you the equity lens

How environment, identity, and belonging shape learning

  • Session 3 gives you the forward edge

How to navigate AI in ways that strengthen the learning brain

Neuroplasticity in Practice

Turning the science of learning into meaningful classroom practice.

Wednesdays: May 27, June 3, June 10

Virtual

4:30 - 6:00pm (PT)

Every session in this series is grounded in one of the most exciting discoveries in modern neuroscience — neuroplasticity — which describes the brain's lifelong capacity to grow, adapt, and rewire itself through experience.

Across three Wednesday evenings, we'll explore how that idea shows up in different ways: through how we build learning experiences, how we shape environments, and how we design for the future.
